DECORATING WITH A SECTIONAL
"Can you show me sectionals?"....If there has been anything more asked for in the past year or so, I don't know what it could be. More than ever before, we've shown, discussed, designed and ordered all types of sectionals here at Bullerdick.

Why the increased interest in sectionals? It's because we are spending more time at home. These days family members are often home at the same time. With kids, pets and all the family activities, don't we all deserve a spot to stretch out and be comfortable?

So let's go shopping! When looking at sectionals there are a few things to remember and I've listed them below to help you.
1. Measure your room. Sounds simple, but I can't tell you how many people forget this basic step. A sectional should fit and look good in your space. You don't need to be buying extra sectional sections that you can't use and don't need. Measuring will make sure you are using your space and your money wisely.

2. Know the ins and outs of your sectional. To stand up to the wear and tear of an entire family, it needs to be made soundly. Be sure to ask your sales associate about cushion types and interior construction. Also find out about your sectional covering. If there will be lots of kids or messy adults in your home (Oops, I am usually the one to spill something) you will want to consider easy to clean and hard wearing performance fabrics or leather. There are plenty of covers to choose from in all colors of the rainbow.

3. A sectional is a big piece of furniture, so make sure your room will have good flow. "Flow" is how people and activities move around the space. Don't forget to leave space to walk around your sectional. You'll want to have a functional room, so leave room for a lamp or end table. You'll need a spot to set a drink, a good book or your latest hobby work. Also consider making your sectional space extra comfortable. A soft ottoman, that can double as a footstool or seating, works well with sectionals. Easy to roll cocktail tables can hold snacks or be easily pushed away when all the crowd spreads out for movie time.

4. Ask about product protection. Did you know you can add coverage to make sure accidents don't ruin your day or your sectional? What used to be known as "Fabric Protection" now covers much more, like accidents with zippers, seams, burns, cuts, rips and, of course, staining. You'll have peace of mind that your sectional will stay perfect looking.

With all these shopping tips, you'll have a fun and easy time finding a sectional at Bullerdick. We'll look forward to seeing you.
